Marta Viegas is the new partner of Tozzini Freire Advogados in the Insurance and Mergers & Acquisitions practice groups.

Marta was a senior associate at the firm and became a partner in March 2007. She has worked in various and complex transactions involving domestic and foreign companies, having acquired extensive experience in the analysis, drafting and negotiation of contracts. Marta has been actively involved in Insurance and Reinsurance matters, having represented insurance companies in some of the most important acquisitions in this field. She has also worked on the scope of regulation and drafting of insurance and bancassurance contracts.

Graduated from the Law School of Pontifícia Universidade Católica of São Paulo, she has an LL.M. from Northwestern University School of Law, in Chicago.  She also worked as a foreign associate at Weil Gotshal & Manges from 2002 to 2003.
