Posse, Herrera & Ruiz advised Bioenergy Zona Franca SAS to obtain the qualification of a Special Permanent Free Trade Zone for the production of Ethanol resulting from the fermentation of sugar cane, with an estimated investment of US$100 million. The project will be located in the eastern plains of Colombia with an industrial plant placed in an area of 99 hectares and promise to generate 300.000 liters per day of Ethanol and an adaptation of land for sugar cane of approximately 12.000 hectares, bringing a new agricultural experience to this part of Colombia.

Undoubtedly such project will have a huge social and economic impact in the eastern plains region of Colombia”.
