Romero Pineda & Asociados advised one of his clients, who is a world leader in children and family entertainment, in registration proceedings against a foreign company that illegally marketed notebooks with the characters of the international company.
The event took place on January 26th, near downtown San Salvador and over 25 thousand notebooks of dubious provenance (counterfeit) were seized successfully. A van full of merchandise was also confiscated, with products of the same nature, which arrived at that moment to the facilities and a freight car that offenders had been using to make deliveries of the product to other commercial destinations.
Currently, Romero Pineda & Asociados represents his client in court against offenders, processed before a Peace Judge of the country. The partner of the firm, Carlos Castillo and lawyers Jorge Mendez and Karla Alas, are working hard for the successful resolution of the case. Romero Pineda & Asociados continues to fight trademark piracy in El Salvador.
