The French legal publication Decideurs Stratégie Finance Droit announced the winners of the International Legal Awards in an awards ceremony in Paris last June 14th and sponsored by the law firms Orrick, Gide Loyrette Nouel, Franklin, Jeantet Associés, Travers Smith, among others.

These awards recognize the best law firms in several jurisdictions, with a jury composed of more than 100 senior legal executives, including in-house counsels and senior financial executives of world-renowned companies such as Disney, Philips, L´Oréal and Nestlé.

The award for the “Best Spanish Law Firm of 2012” was for Garrigues. Other Spanish nominated law firms were CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo, Cuatrecasas, Garrigues, Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, Uría Menéndez, Pérez-Llorca, Ramón & Cajal and Roca Junyent.

Araoz & Rueda, additionally to be one of the nominated law firms, received also the “Special Distinction as best Spanish law firm in 2012”. Partner Francisco Aldavero, who represented the firm in the event and collected the award, expressed “his satisfaction and gratitude for this international recognition to the dedication and effort of our team, especially because it comes from clients”.

This award reaffirms Araoz & Rueda’s `position as one of the most important Spanish independent law firms in Spain.
