Alberto Benshimol

D´Empaire

Alberto Benshimol advises multinationals, Venezuelan companies, banks and private clients on a variety of tax matters.

Alberto has represented a variety of major corporations in corporate transactions, international taxation, and regularly advises families and banks on tax and estate planning matters.

Before joining D’ Empaire in 1998 (in 2005 he became a partner) Alberto worked as an associate at Wilmer, Cutler, Pickering (1997) in their Washington D.C. offices.

He was a member of the Venezuelan team that completed the double taxation agreement negotiations between the United States of America and Venezuela in 1998.

Alberto studied Law at the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (Summa cum laude, 1996) and completed a Masters in Tax Law at New York University (LL.M. in Taxation, 1997).

He is currently Professor of Tax Law at the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello.
