Arturo Pera joined Marval O’Farrell Mairal in 2016 as Of Counsel in the Oil & Gas Group.

Arturo has over forty years’ experience in the oil & gas industry and was the Legal Director at Total for eighteen years.

With a law degree from the Universidad Católica de Argentina he also graduated from the Escuela de Defensa Nacional. A PhD candidate in Financial Law at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, Arturo has completed several postgraduate courses in the US and the UK.

In the academic field, he is a professor at the postgraduate course on Oil & Gas at the Universidad de Buenos Aires and teaches Energy Market Regulations at the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires.

Arturo is a member of the Consejo Editorial de la Revista Argentina de Derecho de la Energía, Hidrocarburos y Minería (RADEHM) and the International Bar Association and vice-president of the Asociación Argentina de Derecho de la Energía y Recursos Minerales (ADERM).
