Ary Oswaldo Mattos Filho

Ary is a partner who is currently on temporary leave from the Brazilian Bar Association and the firm to dedicate his time entirely to academic life.
He is a full-time senior professor at the Fundação Getulio Vargas Law School in São Paulo.
Previously, Ary served as the Chairman of Brazil’s Securities Commission (CVM), a judge of the State of São Paulo’s Administrative Court of Taxes and Rate, a member of Brazil’s National Monetary Council (CMN), and the President of the Federal Commission for Fiscal Reform.
He currently serves on the board of Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV). Ary Oswaldo was a visiting scholar at Harvard Law School, as well as a former dean and current senior professor at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Business School and Law School.
