Carla concentrates her practice in data protection and information security, especially in legal aspects of data collection and processing, design and implementation of privacy and security policies, audits and risk assessments in these matters, implementation of effective strategies for data transfer, compliance programs, among others.
Previously, she worked at the Ministry of Interior and Public Security providing legal advice on the development process of technological projects for crime prevention. Subsequently, in the Digital Government Division of the Ministry General Secretariat of the Presidency, he led the legal team in charge of the implementation of the law of digital transformation of the State for more than 1,000 government agencies. She actively participated in the drafting of the associated regulations on cybersecurity and information security, interoperability and authentication, leading the drafting of the law that modified its deadlines and implementation stages.
Carla has extensive experience in information technology, such as digital identity, open data, interoperability, electronic records, technology procurement, digital transformation, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Her expertise also includes intellectual property, uses of blockchain technology and smart contracts.
