César Fares joined Chevez Ruiz, Zamarripa in 2000. His professional practice as tax adviser is focused on a wide range of sectors and transactions, representing domestic, non-resident and international clients. He has provided advice on complex matters related to M&A transactions, international and domestic reorganizations, audit procedures and has handled requests for income and VAT refunds submitted to the Mexican tax authorities. César has a great deal of expertise in the mining industry and a vast experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) proceedings in tax matters; he is widely recognized for his negotiation and mediation skills in challenging cases before the Mexican Tax Ombudsman.
