Cristian Rojas has developed his professional practice at ALEGALIS since 2013, specifically in counseling, prevention, analysis and litigation in the constitutional, administrative (governmental and municipal agencies), civil, criminal and labor areas. Since 2015 he has headed the Criminal Law Area with experience in the defense of individual and legal entities’ commercial and equity interests, including proceedings for crimes against property and equity in general, the national economy, intellectual property, the administration of justice, the environment, forgery, and the tax and customs regulations. As a legal representative, he represents and defends the interests of different international brands in intellectual property matters in the seizure of counterfeit merchandise that is marketed and imported directly to Guatemala from various countries around the world. He has contributed for consecutive years in positioning ALEGALIS as one of the leading firms in Guatemala and the region in "Dispute Resolution", according to international publications and rankings.
Since 2017, Cristian is part of the professor’s staff of Universidad del Istmo Law School specializing in Criminal Law, teaching courses in Criminal Law (General Part), Criminal Law (Special Part) and Laboratories in the subject.
In 2020, Cristian began his academic training in the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) at UNIS Business School, with the purpose of being a useful link between the strategic business and legal areas, thus being able to provide the necessary advice and direction for the growth and sustainability of the companies in a social and legal environment.
Prior to obtaining his degrees as a lawyer and notary, Cristian began his professional training within a prestigious law firm in the corporate area, in the creation of companies, commercial contracts and intellectual property, in which area he had the opportunity to advise national and international companies dedicated to the provision of food, aviation and recreational services for the registration of trademarks, trade names, designs and patents. In corporate matters, he worked on consolidation and growth projects in one of the largest recreational institutions in Latin America.
