D´Empaire
Dubraska Galarraga specializes in civil and commercial litigation before Venezuelan courts and arbitration tribunals. Dubraska joined D’Empaire in 1999 and has been a partner since 2010.
She studied Law at the Central University of Venezuela, Caracas (2000) and has a Master’s Degree in Commercial Law (Central University of Venezuela, 2006).
Example of her experience includes representing the following clients: MMC Automotriz in two ad hoc arbitration proceedings involving Venezuelan courts; Envacar del Caribe and Rums and Liquors in an arbitration proceeding under the rules of the Arbitration Center of the Chamber of Commerce of Caracas (CACC); Centro Diagnostico Docente Las Mercedes in an arbitration proceeding under the rules of the Conciliation and Arbitration Business Center of the Venezuelan American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CEDCA) for claim of contract compliance and damages; Alitalia in a lawsuit for damages; Comercial Ixco in an administrative proceeding before the Mayor’s Office of the Bolivarian Libertador Municipality of the Capital District; Makro Comercializadora in a trial for foreclosure; Polar Brewery in a lawsuit for breach of contract and damages; Alimentos Polar in a trial for termination of a distribution contract and damages; Republic International Bank N.V. (formerly Banco Caracas, N.V.) in a foreclosure lawsuit; Alcatel de Venezuela (formerly Lucent Technologies) in a damages lawsuit related to an accident involving the explosion of a gas pipeline; Beal Bank and Inarco International (subsidiary of Citibank), in the bankruptcy proceedings of Sudamtex; Andean Development Corporation (CAF) in the bankruptcy proceedings of Sudamtex and Venepal; t Radio Caracas Televisión, in different cases on copyright.
She is currently a professor of Commercial Law Practices at the Andrés Bello Catholic University.
