Emilia is an Associate at Nader, Hayaux & Goebel. She earned her law degree with honors from Universidad Panamericana, Mexico City (Campus Mixcoac), with the thesis titled "The Impact on Human Rights in Light of Public International Law: Economic Sanctions and Their Indirect Victims."
She began her career specializing in commercial and civil litigation, with a particular focus on trust-related matters, moral damages, and corporate disputes. She later developed a strong background in constitutional and human rights law during her time at the Mexican Supreme Court, where she worked on high-level judicial review cases across a broad range of areas, including civil, family, tax, immigration, commercial law, among others. Today, her practice focuses on capital markets, banking and securities law.
Throughout her three-year involvement in the Philip C. She also contributed to a joint academic project by the Mexican Supreme Court and the National Autonomous University of Mexico, titled "20 Propuestas para una Agenda de Seguridad y Justicia: Una Mirada desde la Academia. Breviario," which explores key challenges facing the Mexican justice system and proposes reform-oriented solutions in the context of Mexico’s 2024 judicial reform.
