He holds a doctorate in Jurisprudence and is a lawyer, and in his professional development, he has furthered his training by obtaining fourth-level degrees in the management and consulting of Family Businesses, Business Administration for Lawyers, International Law, Foreign Trade and International Relations, Senior Management and Marketing, Conflict Negotiation, Tax Law, and Disciplinary Sports Law, among others.

He contributes to the Firm through his experience, providing empathetic guidance on how to provide services to clients in complex areas such as Public Procurement, fiduciary contract structuring and consulting, the management and resolution of public and private disputes, and the organization of the family business system, maintaining ethics and balance as fundamental principles of Santillán Abogados’ professional practice.

His many years as a university professor at the country’s leading universities, as well as his position as Arbitrator on the Arbitration Tribunals of the Arbitration and Mediation Centers of the Quito Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber of the Construction Industry, and the International Center for Arbitration and Mediation (CIAM) of the Ecuadorian-British Chamber, and as a member of the Disciplinary Committees of the LigaPro of the Guayaquil Chamber of Commerce, have allowed him to practice his profession with experience, impartiality, and a focus on positive results.

One of his most challenging experiences has been the creation, more than 20 years ago, of the international network INLAW Alliance of Law Firms, currently comprised of law firms from 15 Latin American countries and still expanding.
