Guillermo joined EY in 2003 and has been part of our tax team in Central America and the Dominican Republic, and of our transaction advisory (mergers and acquisitions) team in New York.

He has experience in local and international tax planning, in the design and implementation of multi-jurisdictional transactions, corporate and investment structures. As part of our transaction advisory team, he has worked in due diligence processes, tax reviews and transaction planning with private equity firms, hedge funds and other investors.

Guillermo is a member of the Bar Association of Costa Rica. He holds a Law degree from the University of Costa Rica and has a technical degree in Financial Administration from the same university. He holds a Master’s in International Law from New York University (NYU), where he was a Fulbright scholar.
