In his transactional work, he brings a distinctive set of human and negotiation capabilities that bring parties together to produce lasting agreements. This personal skillset has helped him represent all type of clients, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups and across several regulated industries, such as financial services, mining, energy and infrastructure, and non-regulated sectors such as retail, e-commerce and entertainment.
He gained international experience working as an international associate in the New York office of Cravath, Swaine and Moore and today is part of the Mergers and Acquisitions practice team and heads the Firm’s Mining practice.
Héctor is committed to Galicia’s human development initiatives.
Héctor is also a passionate triathlete, having various top-5 finishes and a podium under his belt.

He received his bachelor’s degree from the Universidad Panamericana and holds a master’s degree in law from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, (Leuven, Belgium).
As a member of the Talent Committee, he participates in nearly all candidate interviews and is a driving force in the design and delivery of the Firm’s innovative training programmes that seek to build smarter lawyers and better people.
He has been a partner of the Firm since 2006.
He is recognized by The Legal 500 2023 Latin American Guide and Latin Lawyer as an expert lawyer in the Corporate/M&A and Energy and Natural Resources-Mining practices.
