Iván García Elsevyf rejoined the firm as Partner and Leader of the Conflict Resolution Department in 2021.
He has more than 15 years of experience as a lawyer, focusing on civil, commercial, labor and real estate litigation. He has represented local and international clients in tourism, health, construction, sports, airlines, etc.
Before joining DMK Abogados, Iván led the litigation team at one of the Dominican law firms and headed the legal department of the local pharmaceutical company. Iván was senior lawyer at DMK Abogados in 2011-2014.
Some of his most recent cases include successful representation of a tourism project in lawsuits by alleged landowners on which the project is developed; successful representation of a clinic and medical group in claims for damages due to construction defects; defense of airlines and hotels in the event of lawsuits filed by clients and employees; successful representation of a landlord investor in claims for termination of contract and reparation of damages, due to the installation of a natural gas pump, not authorized by the owner and without having the proper government authorizations; among others.

Iván graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in 2005 and completed his master’s degree in Civil Procedure in 2009.
He has participated in several seminars and forums oriented to Real Estate Law, Tourism, Arbitration and Administrative Law.
He is a member of the Bar Association of the Dominican Republic since 2010.
He has been ranked as a Next Generation Partner by Legal 500 2022 in the Conflict Resolution practice.
