His professional practice focuses on advising governments on their public mining policies (Ecuador, Afghanistan, Colombia), multilateral organizations (World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, Swiss Cooperation Agency) and private companies in matters of foreign investment; acquisition of mining companies and projects; mining litigation and arbitration; and negotiation of contracts related to mining activity such as financing, construction and easements.

He has vast experience, both in the public and private sectors, being a reference in legal and regulatory matters, which has allowed him to participate in the negotiation of contracts between mining companies and States; in international investment arbitrations; and in the design of public policies and legal and regulatory frameworks for mining in more than 15 countries, including advice to the Chamber of Deputies for the drafting of bills related to the mining industry.
