Greenberg Traurig, S.C.
Jessica Fishfeld is a commercial litigator who represents companies in complex, high-stakes business disputes, such as contract-related issues, partnership and shareholder disputes, fraud, unfair business practices, and other conflicts that arise between commercial competitors and business partners. Additionally, Jessica routinely defends large companies in consumer class actions in venues around the country, including in cases involving product defects and advertising issues, among others. A singer and performer herself, Jessica particularly enjoys representing and supporting creative individuals and entrepreneurs of all types. She advises clients in the tech and entertainment industries on matters relating to the protection and appropriate use of intellectual property, and litigates disputes over patent, copyright, and trademark infringement, false advertising, and misappropriation of confidential and proprietary information. In addition to her experience trying jury trials and examining witnesses in non-jury proceedings, Jessica also regularly authors complex motions and briefs at every stage of litigation.
Jessica is able to handle a broad range of matters by taking the time to gain a deep understanding of each client’s specific objectives and priorities, and craft creative and cost-effective strategies best suited for the particular situation. She has a strategic, problem-solving mentality and is known for her ability to adapt to the circumstances presented in order to further her clients’ key interests.
Finally, Jessica devotes a significant amount of time to pro bono efforts. She is most proud of her substantial involvement in obtaining a life-saving judgment overturning a prisoner’s improper death sentence in Alabama. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she assisted a small, family-owned catering business to address indebtedness to suppliers. Most recently, Jessica was called upon by a federal court in South Florida to take over a pro se litigant’s case on an emergency basis, and tried the case to a jury just four days later, reducing her client’s liability by 87%.
