Jorge is a Partner of BLP based in the Guatemala City offices. His practice specializes in Corporate Law, Banking & Finance and Energy & Infrastructure.

He is a legal advisor to international companies with extensive experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, corporate and commercial matters. He has led work teams for multi-jurisdictional transactions in regulated industries such as Oil, Gas, Energy and Telecommunications. Similarly, he has advised on project financing and collateral restructuring in the region.

He is a lawyer with extensive experience in international public bidding processes, resulting in flagship infrastructure and energy projects in Guatemala. Likewise, he has vast experience in corporate and civil litigation, as well as broadening his expertise in investment arbitration.

Prior to joining BLP, he was Regional Representative for Europe of Invest in Guatemala, and founding partner of Arias in Guatemala for 25 years.
