Julio is a Partner of BLP in the San José office. His specialties include the Banking & Finance, Private Equity & Venture Capital and Energy & Infrastructure practices.

Throughout his 18 years of experience, he has advised national, international and multilateral financial entities in multi-jurisdictional credit operations for the largest energy and infrastructure projects in the region.

During his career, he has advised on local and international capital market operations, including legal representation in securities issuance transactions, securitizations, regulatory clearances, initial public offerings, and bond issuances.

Likewise, he has led negotiations for public works concession contracts and their financing. Julio actively participates in regional advice on the structuring and financing of public infrastructure projects in the land and air transportation sectors, and renewable energy.
