Laura is a lawyer specializing in corporate law, as well as in energy and infrastructure projects. Her practice focuses on advising domestic and international clients on corporate and regulatory matters, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sectors. She has been involved in various complex transactions, including regulatory proceedings before Mexican energy authorities and issues related to the development of large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
Laura has advised clients on the structuring and implementation of natural gas and electricity projects, corporate restructurings, and regulatory compliance across various industries. She also has experience in corporate governance and the responsibilities of management bodies.
Before joining NHG, Laura worked for two years at an international law firm in Mexico City, where she collaborated with the Energy, Infrastructure and Project Finance, and Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions teams. She also has prior experience in regulatory compliance matters for companies in the automotive and financial sectors.
Laura graduated with honors with a Law degree from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), where she received the CENEVAL Award for Excellence in Performance. She also completed an international exchange program at the University of California, Berkeley, focused on common law.
