Professional experience
Modesto Vargas, has been an associate lawyer of the firm since 2005, he has an extensive professional career of more than 15 years as a business advisor in tax law.

He was an advisory lawyer for the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation (CONAVI) and the General Directorate of Taxation of the Ministry of Finance.

Featured in the international rating agency Chambers Latin America, he is an active member of the Costa Rican Institute of Fiscal Studies and professor of Tax Law at the University of Costa Rica, University of La Salle and Fundepos University in Costa Rica.

He has been a national and international speaker on various current tax and financial issues, including at the College of Public Accountants, the College of Lawyers, and at the Inter-Chairship Conference on Argentine-Costa Rican Financial and Tax Law in Mendoza, Argentina.

Among his publications, "Income taxation in Costa Rica" stands out in collaboration with the author Dr. Adrián Torrealba Navas, and his analysis article "Mistakes in the application of the presumed base in the Costa Rican case: A call attention to the need to adhere to the script of the law and its technical-legal implications" published in the Magazine of the Colombian Institute of Tax Law.
