Niall is based in our Doha office and heads up the firm’s Construction and Dispute Resolution practice in Qatar.

In practice for 18 years, Niall specialises in arbitration and contentious construction and engineering matters. Based in Doha since 2016, he is most regularly instructed in large scale international arbitrations (including under ICC, QICCA, LCIA) and has frequently appeared in the Qatar International Court.

Niall represents many of the world’s largest construction companies who are building the largest gas, rail, infrastructure, defence, mixed use and utility projects in the Middle East, Africa and the CIS. He has advised on dispute resolution on the major projects in Qatar (including Doha Metro, Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022, New Doha International Airport). Particularly, disputes relating to project delay and disruption, loss and expense, final account disputes, termination and defects.
