Ovidio Parra has extensive experience in the area of ​​corporate advice, especially in matters related to intellectual property. During the course of his professional practice, he has acted as Counselor for the Secretariat of Central American and Panama Economic Integration (SIECA). In addition to legal practice, he has served as a law professor at the Faculty of Law of the Universidad San Carlos de Guatemala, for thirty-six years, in Civil Law I and II, Commercial Law I, II and III, and in the Rafael Landívar University in Commercial Law I and II; and has more than thirty-three years in professional practice. He has acted as a thesis advisor at both universities and as an examiner in technical-professional exams. He is regularly invited to give lectures at the Francisco Marroquín University and is a professor in the master’s program at the Graduate School of the Faculty of Law of the San Carlos University of Guatemala. Full professor at the USAC Law School, since 1980. President of the Commercial Law Institute and Representative Delegate for Guatemala before the Ibero-American Association of Intellectual Property.
