Pablo is a Partner in the Projects, Energy and Infrastructure Practice, supervising projects in Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua and the Honduras office. Pablo is based in the San José, Costa Rica office.

Pablo is a lawyer with extensive experience of more than 16 years in cross-border transactions in Latin America and the Caribbean. His practice focuses on corporate financing, infrastructure & energy, and financing from multilateral organizations in emerging markets, including energy infrastructure projects (conventional and renewable), hospitality, transportation, agribusiness, and manufacturing. An expert in supervising complex transactions, Pablo has facilitated billions of dollars in investments and financing for the region.

He has been involved in and advised on transactions in the United States, Asia, Europe, and almost every Latin American country, including Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama , Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Suriname, Bahamas, Bolivia, among others.

Due to the trajectory and success of his work in the Latin American region, Pablo was named as a Rising Star in the Latinvex Top 50 Rising Stars list, a list that recognizes lawyers in international law firms with operations in Latin America and who are selected in based on the quality, scope and complexity of their work, as well as its future potential.

Prior to his joining BLP, Pablo was an Associate in the Global Projects, Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure group at Allen & Overy LLP based in Washington, D.C., focusing on the Latin American practice. Prior to that, Pablo was Counsel in the Infrastructure, Energy and Corporate legal team of Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest) based in Washington, D.C., and Senior Associate of a Costa Rican law firm.
