Raúl is partner and director of the Litigation and Arbitration area at Alessandri. He specializes in corporate matters and particularly in litigious matters of various kinds, such as civil processes of contractual and extra-contractual civil liability, construction, telecommunications, free competition and unfair competition, intellectual and industrial property, application of the Consumer Protection Law, arbitration, among others.
He has vast experience in corporate advisory, board assistance, corporate governance and regulated markets, especially in telecommunications and healthcare, where he participated in various transformation projects in these sectors.
Our partner is active and relevant in dispute resolution through alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. In October 2021, Raúl was appointed arbitrator of the Arbitration and Mediation Center (CAM) of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce (CCS). He is also arbitrator for the Appeals Court of Santiago, since 2019. Member of the Pro Bono Arbitration Program, Legal Clinics Universidad Diego Portales, Fundación Probono and Corporación de Asistencia Judicial since 2013.
Academic and pregraduate and postgraduate professor of Procedural Law at Universidad de Chile and Universidad del Desarrollo for 25 years. At the Law School of the Universidad de Chile he has held various management positions, in the direction and sub-direction of the Procedural Law Department, as well as in the Career Coordination. He has also taught at the Universities Finis Terrae, Santo Tomás, San Sebastián and Gabriela Mistral, giving courses and seminars for various public services.
