Roland Petterson

D´Empaire

Roland Petterson joined D’Empaire as a partner in 2019, concentrating on corporate finance, financial transactions, insolvency and debt restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and oil and gas.

Roland studied Law at the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, Caracas (2006), obtained a Diploma in Finance from the International Diploma Program, Extension (University of California - Berkeley) and a Specialization Degree in International Business (Metropolitan University).

Roland also earned a certificate from the Harvard University Institute of Negotiation’s Mediating Disputes Program. Roland is the director and academic coordinator of the Negotiation Program of the Center for Research and Studies for Dispute Resolution (CIERC) of the Monteávila University.

He has published a series of academic papers and has participated as a speaker in different events and discussions on the subject of the restructuring of the debt of the Government of Venezuela and the insolvency of Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A.

Roland is currently the only Venezuelan member of the International Insolvency Institute and the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals.
