Lucy Objío joined the firm in 2009 and became a partner in 2012. She has 14 years of experience practicing law, concentrating in civil litigation, commercial, labor, constitutional law, intellectual property, copyright, consumer law, insurance litigation, real estate, aviation and maritime law, as well as commercial arbitration. She has experience advising clients on banking, commercial and corporate regulations and franchise and distribution issues, among other things. She regularly advises companies and local and international financial institutions in the areas of complex contracts, dispute resolution, real estate disputes, intellectual property litigation, shareholder agreements, telecommunications, and damage awards resulting from lawsuits.
Lucy has participated in many cases in the maritime area, involving issues as varied as maritime embargo claims, naval mortgage executions, freight disputes, insurance claims, cargo claims and other related matters. She also has represented clients in the majority of the labor disputes handled by the firm, with a success record of over 90 percent.
Lucy was recognized by Chambers & Partners Latin America, Legal 500 and Who’s Who Legal in dispute resolution. She was recognized among TOP25 LatAm Women in Litigation in 2018 and 2019 and was selected as Litigation Star in 2019 by Benchmark Litigation.

- She has worked successfully on most of the firm’s labor litigation matters.
- Involved in several matters regarding Habeas Data, a constitutional resource that gives the citizens the right to obtain any information from any public or private institution.
- Advised major international airline companies on civil responsibility matters.
- Represented multinational companies on debt collection matters up to US$19 million.
- Has counseled a large cosmetic company on trademark disputes.
- Has worked with multinational companies on matters regarding termination of distribution agreements under law 173 that protects local import agents.
