Drummond Miller was formed in 1991

Drummond Miller’s origins date back to the eighteenth century but the current firm was formed in 1991 by the merger of two established Edinburgh firms, Drummond & Company and Pairman, Miller & Murray.

Drummond & Co and Pairman Miller Murray were able to trace their origins back to the late eighteenth century and the nineteenth century respectively. Both firms were involved in cases that are still regarded as landmarks in Scottish legal history.

In April 2000, the firms of MacPhail & Co and L & L Lawrence merged with Drummond Miller to establish our Glasgow office.

In 2020, we took over the long established Musselburgh practice of Alex Mitchell & Sons, which can trace its history back for 130 years.
