Willans LLP Solicitors

In 1947, Alec Willans sets up his law firm at 49 Clarence Street, Cheltenham (which now houses the Boston Tea Party coffee shop). After wartime service in the Navy, Mr. Willans qualified and put up his brass plate within a year.

Former colleague of his, and a partner and consultant at the firm for 30 years, the late Peter Shillito, said in his memoir that he had "integrity, an incisive mind and a broad outlook", and that he was "easy to work with, professionally dedicated and had a jocular sense of fun…the staff were his family." We strive to uphold these same values more than 70 years on.
