Bevan Brittan

I am a public law and regulatory specialist, and act on a range of contentious and advisory work. I act for clients across various sectors including financial services, higher education, local government and health and social care. I regularly act for public bodies, and I advise on decision making, the implementation and application of policy, consultation, and challenges to decisions. I have extensive Judicial Review experience, and I have acted on public law cases in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.

In terms of my higher education experience, I regularly advise on higher education law, with a particular focus on student related issues. I advise on: student complaints and litigation; OIA matters; academic and disciplinary processes; student contracts and consumer law; Equality Act issues; fitness to practise; and the Office for Students’ regulatory framework. I spent 6 months on secondment to the in house legal team at the University of Oxford in 2017/18.
