Jamie has a wealth of experience across all facets of public law, particularly in respect of judicial review, human rights, information law, regulatory and disciplinary matters, parliamentary practice and procedure, public policy and public procurement.
He acts for a range of businesses, pressure groups, charities and individuals addressing public issues including the environment, pensions, health and pharmaceuticals, education, special educational needs, information rights (including GDPR), public policy, regulatory obligations and advertising.
He also advises individuals facing disciplinary action from political parties, specialising in complex and high profile cases. Recently, Jamie has acted in significant cases involving the limits on the powers of a political party to discipline its members, securing commitment to a public inquiry into the Government’s response to the pandemic, Government bias in procurement during the pandemic, special educational needs provision, healthcare and continuing care for children.
CareerJamie qualified in 2008, joined Bindmans in 2014, and was made a partner in 2015. He was also the firm’s Deputy Managing Partner.
