Marval O’Farrell Mairal
Luciano Ojea Quintana has been a partner at Marval O’Farrell Mairal since 2003. He specializes in banking, finance, and M&A.
In the banking and finance area, he has broad experience in financings and debt restructurings, project finance, (local and international) capital markets transactions, as well as in advising in banking regulatory frameworks. He also has broad experience in highly complex restructurings of banks ordered by the Central Bank.
In M&A, his professional practice has been focused on international M&A transactions, foreign investments and project structuring, joint ventures, and on providing advice to corporations in finance, contractual and general commercial law. He has also advised several companies in public biddings.
He coordinates the Firm’s Asian Desk and has a strong practice advising various Asian companies and banks, particularly Chinese, Japanese and Korean companies, in the development of their business in Argentina. He also advises companies and entities from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand, among others.
He worked in the United States at the firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, New York between 1997 and 1998.

He graduated from the Law School of the Argentine Catholic University (1994) and obtained an LL.M. from Duke University (1997) and a degree from the Fores/Austral University at the Lawyer Training Program (1993), where he graduated with honors.
He is admitted into the Bar of the City of Buenos Aires, and he is Vice-President of the Argentine Chamber of Commerce for the Asian Pacific.
