De la Gasca & Cia celebrates its first year anniversary

Becoming a Boutique Firm obeys a decision made by Founder and Managing Partner, Giancarlo de la Gasca, LL.M., to part ways with the general practice law firm he belonged to, and dedicate himself to a more specific area of the Law, such as the one the Firm currently specializes in.

“I decided to found in El Salvador the first Intellectual Property and Specialized Litigation Boutique Firm, given that currently only general practice law firms exist in our sector, that have intellectual property departments, and which although very talented, fail to represent the heading or main activity of their respective organizations. The concept of “boutique” albeit normal in other parts of the globe, is a completely innovative one in our country, particularly in regards to Intellectual Property” told us Mr. de la Gasca.

Giancarlo de la Gasca, has over 15 years of professional experience within the field of Intellectual Property; experience which has been acquired throughout his career as a member of medium sized and large and prominent law firms, Salvadoran banking institutions and boutique firms in the United States.

  “The ample experience acquired in this field throughout my professional career, helps me to understand the true business vision and dynamics of an Intellectual Property Firm, which is quite different from that of a general practice office, which works in our advantage to focus both our administrative and legal activity, software, file management, and other indispensable elements specifically to that sector, all of which definitely has an effect in direct benefit to our clients which have precise IP needs and wants”, added Mr. de la Gasca.
