Demarest advises Falabella

Demarest advised Falabella to acquire the remaining 35% of Construdecor from Dimitrios Markakis, for approximately USD 60 million. The Chilean company now has 100% ownership in the Brazilian home improvement retailer.

SACI Falabella entered to Construdecor’s property in 2013, with the acquisition of 50.1% of the company. Currently, the company has sales of USD 282 million, presence in Sao Paulo, where it has 57 stores, 5 of which are Sodimac Homecenter, and a total sales area of 168 thousand square meters.

The transaction was announced on July 24, 2018 and completed on August 31, 2018.
