Demarest advises Federal-Mogul Motorparts in a Joint Venture with Fras-Le S.A.

Demarest advised Federal-Mogul Motorparts on the negotiation of a Joint Venture with Fras-Le S.A. to provide premium braking products in the light vehicle markets in Brazil and throughout South America.

The joint venture will be based in Sorocaba, São Paulo, Brazil, and operate under the name Jurid Do Brasil Sistemas Automotivos Ltda.

Through this Joint Venture Agreement, Federal-Mogul Motorparts will increase its presence in the manufacturing and distribution of industry-leading braking products in Brazil and also its presence in the South America aftermarket, providing premium braking products primarily sold under the Jurid and Ferodo trademarks. 

Demarest advised Federal-Mogul Motorparts through partner Paulo Rocha, junior partners Adriana Chakour, Ana Paula Schedel and Julia Davet Pazos, and associates Beatriz Dias Bistulfi and Vanessa Ferro.

Feijó Lopes Advogados advised Fras-Le S.A. through partners Lucio Feijo Lopes and Fernanda Ferla.
