Lefosse Advogados strengthens finance and competition practices with new partners
Lefosse Advogados, the São Paulo-based law firm formerly known as Goulart Penteado, Iervolino e Lefosse Advogados, has invited Roberto Vianna and Sérgio Bruna to join the partnership.
Sérgio Bruna has substantial experience in Brazilian competition law, representing clients in some of the major merger filings and antitrust infringements cases in Brazil.
Roberto Vianna is a finance lawyer with significant experience in Brazilian corporate, securities and banking law, representing a wide variety of investment banking, commercial banking and corporate clients.
Geraldo Lefosse, Managing Partner of Lefosse Advogados, said: "Roberto Vianna and Sérgio Bruna are both outstanding lawyers and I am delighted that they are joining the partnership. Their election reflects our ongoing commitment to providing our clients with the highest quality advice. Our extensive knowledge of the Brazilian legal market, together with Linklaters' global capabilities, represent a powerful and unique combination."
As a result of the scheduled departure of João Caio Goulart Penteado and Flavio Iervolino as of September 1, 2004 the name of the firm will now be Lefosse Advogados.
Geraldo Lefosse added: "João Caio and Flavio have played an important role in the development of the practice, and we wish them all the best for the future."
