Platino Energy acquires Colombia Energy Development

Posse Herrera Ruiz acted as Colombian legal advisor to Platino Energy Holdings Corp. (a Barbados company with a branch established in Colombia) in connection with the US$15 million acquisition financing granted by Banco Colpatria Multibanca Colpatria S.A. for the acquisition of 100% equity stake of Colombia Energy Development Co.

The financing transaction involves the negotiation and subscription of a master derivatives agreement as well as security agreements under Colombian and Barbados law.

Closing Date: December 4, 2014.
