Suramericana S.A. agrees to purchase the Latin American business from RSA Insurance Group

Posse Herrera Ruiz and Demarest advised RSA INSURANCE GROUP, one of the world’s leading multinational quoted insurance groups, in the sale, through one of its subsidiaries, of its Latin American business in Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Uruguay, to Suramericana S.A., one of the main insurance groups in Colombia and Central America.

The transaction, subject to regulatory approvals in every jurisdiction, vas valued at £403 million (approx. US$614 million).

Execution Date: September 8, 2015.
