Ulises Cabrera hosts Alliott Global Alliance in the Dominican Republic

Ulises Cabrera - The law firm Ulises Cabrera debuted as a regional host, placing the Dominican Republic in the spotlight at the Latin American and Caribbean regional meeting of the global network of lawyers and auditors Alliott Global Alliance (AGA). For three days, legal professionals from the Americas, the Caribbean and Europe exchanged knowledge and best practices on how to do business in the region.

Two years ago, in the framework of its 57th anniversary, Ulises Cabrera joined this international network as exclusive member for the Dominican Republic. This year, the firm celebrated again, but in its role as regional host.

The event reflected the hospitality of the Dominican people through thematic sessions, business development-oriented activities and guided tours of Santo Domingo landmarks.
The former president of the Dominican Republic, Leonel Fernández Reyna, was in charge of one of the panels, entitled "How geopolitics is impacting doing business in the region", in which he addressed the initiatives promoted by Donald Trump, Europe, Russia and China. He pointed out that the main strategic asset that the country has to integrate globally is its people, highlighting the talent and preparation of Dominicans, including the diaspora.

"I think it is a magnificent experience to hold these international forums, because they allow the dissemination of knowledge and information, the strengthening of lasting contact networks, and a global vision that, in the long run, has an impact on the national level. There are geographical and labor references and that personal, physical contact that is so important. I believe that all this enriches our possibilities for growth and development, because it connects us with the world and allows us to receive the best of the world: ideas that can become action plans. For this reason, I welcome these events, which are so fruitful for many sectors", emphasized Fernández Reyna.

Businessman Simón Suárez, vice president of Institutional Relations and Special Projects of Grupo Puntacana, also participated in the event. He spoke about business trends in the region, focusing on how the group has developed its zone and the new projects underway, in addition to his business experience. He also discussed the growth of Dominican tourism.

This is the first time that Alliott Global Alliance holds its regional meeting in the Dominican Republic, so the firm Ulises Cabrera, as exclusive member in the country, carefully assumed its role as ambassador of this warm nation.
