Von Wobeser y Sierra receives international recognition for its pro bono work in New York

Mexican law firm Von Wobeser y Sierra, S.C. was recognized as an International Firm at the Celebration of International Pro Bono Excellence event, organized by the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice in New York City.

The award was presented to Claus von Wobeser, honorary president and of counsel of the firm, by Antonia Stolper, partner at A&O Shearman, during a ceremony that highlighted the commitment of several global law firms to pro bono work and access to justice.

The distinction highlights the role of Von Wobeser y Sierra in promoting free legal work and social impact, not only in Mexico but also in Latin America, reinforcing its reputation as a firm committed to social responsibility in the practice of law.

Alongside Von Wobeser y Sierra, other international firms were also recognized for their outstanding pro bono work: Baker McKenzie, Morrison Foerster, Paul Hastings, Winston & Strawn LLP, ArentFox Schiff, Covington & Burling LLP, and Debevoise & Plimpton.

The event is part of the Vance Center’s efforts to highlight international collaboration on issues of justice, human rights, and institutional strengthening, and underscores the growing participation of Latin American firms in these global initiatives.
