White & Case strengthens its Latin America M&A practice with the arrival of Gabriel Salinas from Mayer Brown in Houston

Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Practice and Global Energy Industry Group with the addition of Gabriel Salinas as a partner in Houston.

"Gabriel’s deep sector experience and strong cross-border M&A practice make him a vital asset in these key areas."

Salinas advises private equity sponsors, funds, sovereigns, multinational corporations and financial institutions on international and domestic mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures. He has extensive energy and infrastructure investment experience spanning low-carbon, CCS, clean hydrogen, clean ammonia and LNG projects.

Salinas joins White & Case from Mayer Brown, where he practiced for three years after previously spending two years at Shearman & Sterling. At Mayer Brown, he led the firm’s Mexico Practice, as well as its New Energies Task Force and Data Center Initiative.

White & Case’s Corporate Practice has continued to build significant strength over the past year with more than 35 lateral partners joining to expand the team. High-profile additions include partners Stephen Fraidin and Richard Brand in New York; Richard Browne, Helen Croke, Henry Birch, Arun Birla and Jiten Tank in London; Josh Teahen and Ian Goldberg in Houston; Cyril Valentin, Antoine Mercier, Sarah Fleury and Romain Guénin in Paris; and Alberto Sepulveda in Mexico City.
