Andres Waisleder

Andrés is an external attorney for BLP in the San José, Costa Rica office. He specializes in Real Estate & Hospitality and Corporate practices.
In his more than 20 years of experience as a lawyer, he has advised on legal processes involving hotel development, including construction contracts, financing, negotiation of management contracts and franchises with international hotel operators (Four Seasons, Marriott, Hyatt and Hilton) for projects in Costa Rica and other Latin American destinations.
He has represented tourism companies with an emphasis on the concession area of the Golfo de Papagayo Tourism Pole in Costa Rica. He has vast experience in real estate transactions and leading teams in legal processes for the sale of luxury resorts, including parcels for hotel development, single-family lots, condominium units and fractional products.
He is accompanied by extensive knowledge in the development, documentation, planning and legal regulation of organized communities, resorts and tourism projects. In addition, he has transactional experience in mergers and acquisitions, representing national and foreign companies.
For four years he was an Associate at Odio & Raven Law Firm (2001-2004) and subsequently served as Associate and Managing Partner at ANS Legal from 2004 to 2012 and from 2012 to 2018, respectively. In 2018, he joined BLP as an external attorney. He was admitted to practice law in New York, United States, in the year 2002.
