Jesús Varela joined Pérez-Llorca in September 2020. Prior to joining, he was Managing Partner in Spain of a renowned global firm and responsible for its real estate area, and previously he was a partner, also in the real estate area, of a magic circle office from its Madrid office.

Jesús Varela is specialized in purchases and sales of mortgage debt portfolios (debt portfolio trades), real estate financing for banks and alternative lenders (direct lending), special situations, investment in assets and companies and formation of operating vehicles and joint ventures ( joint ventures) in all segments and products of the real estate sector in Spain (residential in build-to-rent mode, coliving, offices and coworking spaces, retail, logistics, hotels, hospitals, student residences...).
Jesús has recently advised international investors, promoters and financiers on the most relevant real estate transactions in recent years in Spain, in terms of volume and technical difficulty.
