José Azqueta joined Pérez-Llorca in 2019. Prior to joining, he was part of the Tax-Legal Services area of a big four, as an M&A Tax Partner.
Experience
José Azqueta has been working since 2002 in M&A Tax teams. In these years he has dedicated himself above all to "real assets", such as the real estate sector and renewable energies. His advice includes the transaction itself (structure, DD, tax model, among others), and also recurring advice and divestment processes, having a complete vision of the entire operation. Regarding the structure of the operation, his experience in investment structures of foreign investment funds in Spain stands out, providing structuring solutions aligned with the business and sustainable in a complex, changing tax environment influenced by international policies (BEPS initiative , ATAD Directives).
His main clients are real estate and renewable energy investment funds, having led tax advice in several of the most relevant processes carried out in recent years in Spain.
