Juan Carlos joined the firm in 2021 as a paralegal in the corporate and transactional law team, to which he is a member as an associate lawyer to this day. In the corporate and transactional law team, Juan Carlos advises clients in different commercial operations and in various market sectors. He has advised national and international companies regarding their corporate structure, granting of acts and contracts, mergers, and acquisitions. He also has experience in public tenders and other forms of contracting with the State. Likewise, he advises national and foreign non-profit entities, such as associations and non-governmental organizations and shows interest in the current Guatemalan regulation on this matter. 

His areas of practice include, notarial, civil, commercial, real estate, computer law and data privacy. He has also shown interest and experience in the area of technology, media and telecommunications.

Before joining Arias, he acquired experience in the legal practice of the banking sector, after having carried out his supervised internship in one of the most important banks nationwide, where he participated, among others, in the area specialized in trust funds.
