Between August 2014 and November 2022, Luis Pedro held the position of Senior Legal Manager at PepsiCo Inc. During this period, he played a crucial role in managing all legal matters related to Food and Beverage operations in the Caribbean and Central America (CARICAM) region. His scope of responsibility included providing guidance on labor and union issues, supporting the Compliance departments in implementing the Compliance & Ethics Program in the region, which involved risk analysis, policy and procedure development, and conducting audits to ensure compliance with PepsiCo’s global laws and policies.

In addition to his primary responsibilities, he exhibited exceptional leadership and guidance in areas such as Contracts, Commercial, Legal Department Digitalization, Sales and Operations, Data Privacy, Marketing Law, and Sustainability. Throughout his tenure at PepsiCo Inc, he demonstrated strong skills in coordinating litigation, overseeing external attorneys, and managing regulatory compliance in the Caribbean and Central America region.

Prior to that, he worked as a Legal Manager for Central America and Panama at Colgate Palmolive Inc, from November 2011 to August 2014. During this period, he provided comprehensive legal advice in various areas of law. Additionally, he played a key role in coordinating external lawyers, negotiating contracts, and protecting the brand in the region.

Collectively, the diverse functions and roles throughout his career have allowed Luis Pedro to gain a comprehensive perspective in a variety of legal areas and significantly contribute to strategic decision-making and legal management in diverse contexts for multinational companies.
