Mauricio is the Country Chair of Pérez-Llorca Colombia and also leads the Tax Practice Group. Since beginning his professional career in 1987, he has served as general counsel to various national and multinational companies in mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, and tax matters, as well as advising individuals and family groups on estate planning and taxation.

He has advised companies across diverse economic sectors on corporate tax issues, litigation, tax structuring related to mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, financial transactions and project financing, foreign investment in Colombia, and Colombian investments abroad.
