Rodrigo Taboada Rodriguez is a partner at Consortium Legal - Nicaragua. At present he leads the Banking and Financial Department of the firm. Characterized for his expertise in foreign investment, banking and securities, he is a legal advisor in relevant international and local transactions that generate major impacts in the region. 

Mr. Taboada has participated in syndicated loans of more than US$200 Million, with the formalization of documentation subject to local laws, including local security; he also has advised in project finance and in the transfer of equity interests in financial institutions to new investors. With 19 years of practice, he provides continuous advice to foreign and major local financial institutions in the execution of secured and unsecured credit facilities, subordinated agreements, regulatory matters and other financial issues.

He has served as a teacher of Securities Markets in Programs of Master of Business Administration. He is an active member of American Bar Association (ABA) and the International Bar Association (IBA). He has written several articles and publications related to foreign investments, transparency in financial services and compliance matters for international publications, including the International Financial Law Review (IFLR) .
