Arias Advises Lenders on US$350 Million Syndicated Financing

ARIAS advised the participating banks in a US$350 million syndicated financing led by Bladex and Santander as Lead Arrangers. The financing was granted to Grupo Imperia, now Grupo Financiero BSC, to support its acquisition of Banistmo Panama, formerly owned by Grupo Cibest.

The transaction is one of the most significant financings in the region’s financial sector and forms part of Grupo Financiero BSC’s strategy to expand across Latin America through the integration of Banistmo into its financial platform.

ARIAS acted as local counsel to the lending syndicate in El Salvador, advising on all matters of Salvadoran law required for the successful completion of the transaction.
